UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon launched the Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) in September 2011 to catalyze an equitable and sustainable transformation in the world’s energy systems. SEforALL’s three objectives are: Ensuring universal access to modern energy services; doubling the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency; and doubling the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix by 2030. SEforALL empowers leaders to broker partnerships and unlock finance to achieve universal access to sustainable energy as a contribution to a cleaner, just and prosperous world for all. SEforALL connects stakeholders, collects evidence, benchmarks progress, amplifies the voices of partners and tells stories of success.
