MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES
The US Department of Energy is involved in a range of national and international initiatives for building sector sustainability, including but not limited to: Appliance and equipment efficiency standards and labeling; building energy codes; building rating and disclosure schemes; commercial building energy use benchmarking; building sector energy use research, analysis, and modeling; energy management systems (e.g. ISO 50001).
