Description:
Climate change and the race to zero presents the greatest ever challenge to our buildings and infrastructure that make up and support our cities. The urban climate transformation relies upon both the rapid deployment of innovative and integrated urban systems, and the deep engagement with urban communities to build a consensus for change.
System change at the speed demanded by science requires us to think creatively, bring our best and most innovative capability to the table and bring all sectors, communities and businesses on the journey towards decarbonizing our built environment.
COP28 also offers an ideal platform for bolstering our communities, academia, youth, and civil societies across GCC and the world. It is a gathering of decision-makers, allocators of capital and the world’s best minds tackling the world’s most urgent problem.
The session will tackle the challenges of environmental and social sustainability revolve around empowering communities and determining our priorities for climate mitigation, community and youth engagement, promoting education, technology and globalization.
