Description:
Bad news: there isn’t going to be a single and global way to deliver a just transition in the built environment. Good news: from Nigeria, Portugal, Denmark to Indonesia - local communities can teach us how best to deliver sustainable, affordable buildings, neighborhoods and cities. This session will explore how local building practices using biobased materials and waste products could be scaled and form equitable value chains linking cities and their rural hinterlands, ensuring that the most vulnerable communities and ecosystems - people and nature - are at the heart of the green transition in the built environment.

- Roland Hunziker, WBCSD [TBC]
- Giulio Ferrini, Institute for Human Rights and Business
- Per-Olof Sjoo, Building & Woodworkers International
- Philipp Misselwitz, Bauhaus Earth
