Established in 1951 and represented in 70 countries, FIABCI, the International Real Estate provides access and opportunity for real estate professionals interested in gaining knowledge, sharing information and conducting international business with each other. FIABCI is the only real estate association to hold NGO special consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
FIABCI's Global Housing Foundation is dedicated to assisting the homeless in the world. It is a non-profit organization, founded in 1999 by a joint initiative of FIABCI and UN, with the ambition to provide accommodation for homeless people in the world, combining the resources of the private and public sectors.
FIABCI's Prix D'Excellence is an annual price awarded in 16 categories which are all judged following strictest criteria, with particular dedication to Affordable Housing, Environmental , Heritage and Sustainable Development.

FIABCI has published four volumes in its series titled The City We Need is Affordable.
FIABCI cooperate with UN-Habitat for the implementation of CPI, within the framework of the New Urban Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The objective of CPI is to assess sustainable urban development of cities.
Every few months, FIABCI hosts a new online forum as part of the Developers' Best Practices series, in partnership with the World Council of Developers & Investors. It highlights outstanding and innovative projects from different regions around the world, focusing on the overall strategies and concerns developers need to consider in order for their entire project to be successful.
