MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES
Woodrise Alliance (WRA) is a global open innovation platform to boost medium and high-rise timber building. The WRA will focus on promoting medium and high-rise timber building worldwide by the creation of an open innovation platform for research, development, and exchange. The first set of key challenges in research technologies, development and innovation (RTDI) has been identified and prioritized. The work is in progress and they will be grouped into larger RTDI themes.
Technological resource for the forest, wood, construction and furniture sectors, with a mission to promote innovation and technical progress and to contribute to the improvement of industry’s productivity and quality by encouraging an integrated approach and implementation of synergies within the sector.
ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS
Mapping on a global scale of essential capabilities and infrastructure in research is accompanied by the development of an ' RTDI Woodrise Navigation system' to medium and high-rise timber buildings. The navigation bridge is located at the Institute of Technology FCBA in close collaboration with the partners of WOODRISE Alliance.
