In doing so, the city officially announced its climate commitment to reduce CO2 emissions by 45% by 2030, while stating that the shift away from fossil fuels in energy production is an important challenge to tackle and an important opportunity for the City. In May 2021, the Climate Plan for Prague was approved with the main indicator to reduce CO2 emissions by 45% in 2030 with comparison to year 2010 what is also equivalent of 55% reduction in comparison to year 1990. The plan includes 69 measures necessary for fullfiling the climate commitment, including measures for decarbonisation of heating.
Priority areas of Climate plan are:
- Sustainable energy and buildings
- Sustainable mobility
- Circular economy
- Adaptation measures
ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS
- Energy management – evaluation of energy data
