MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES
The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) is an intergovernmental organization with a diplomatic status that aims to enable and increase the adoption of renewable and energy efficiency practices in the Arab Region. RCREE teams with regional governments and global organizations to initiate and lead clean energy policy dialogues, strategies, technologies and capacity development in order to increase Arab states' share of tomorrow's energy. RCREEE specializes in many areas which facilitate the market for renewable and energy-efficient advancements, such as: technical and non-technical data collection, measurement, and analysis for the assessment of renewable energy and energy efficiency status and development trends in the Arab region; supporting the private market, with a special focus on solar PV; providing training for capacity building; and technical support to national governments for the formulation, preparation and implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency action plans, policies, reforms and actions contained in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to the Paris Agreement. RCREEE has committed to contribute to the following GlobalABC Working Areas: Education and Awareness; Public Policies; Market Transformation; and Finance.
