MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES

Turkish Contractors Association (TCA) is one of the oldest, independent, non-profit, professional organizations founded in 1952 in Türkiye. The members of the TCA are the 120 leading construction and contracting companies in the country. Almost all of these companies work as international contractors and many are well-known global players.

TCA is the member of CICA Confederation of International Contractors’ Associations, EIC (European International Contractors) and WWC (World Water Council). TCA’s main activities are; raising public awareness on issues related to the construction sector, increasing competitiveness of its members, enhancing strategic alliances with public and private organisations at home and abroad, advising government agencies on legal, economic and technical issues related to the construction industry and raising public awareness on industry related issues.

ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS

TCA promotes efficient use of resources, energy conservation and the selection of environmentally friendly building materials as well as eco-friendly structures based on renewable energy.

As a remarkable example, the headquarters building of the TCA is an outstanding example of green building with energy efficient technologies awarded by LEED Platinum Certificate. Reflecting TCA's commitment to promote "sustainable construction", the building stands out in its innovative use of energy efficiency, natural ventilation and air-conditioning applications. Furthermore, TCA organized various virtual and in-person events recently with its members, universities and international organizations in order to raise awareness on European Green Deal, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and the EU Taxonomy and will continue to do so.
