The Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short Lived Climate Pollutants' SNAP Initiative (Supporting National Action & Planning on Short-lived climate pollutants) are seeking a Consultant to support the implementation of the SNAP initiative project in Thailand!
The Coalition’s SNAP Initiative, set up in 2013, assists partners in resolving the multiple challenges involved in scaling-up action on short-lived climate pollutants at national scale, such as the lack of data, coordinating capacity, and policy and strategic awareness. It has supported over 20 countries in undertaking a national planning process on short-lived climate pollutants.
The aims of the SNAP initiative project in Thailand are to:
- identify and evaluate the most effective mitigation measures to improve air quality and mitigation climate change, including evaluating the 25 clean air measures identified in the Asia-Pacific Solution Report, at the national level and in Bangkok, through technical capacity-building activities
- evaluate the regulatory framework, and governance structures currently in place in Thailand in terms of their suitability for implementation of key SLCP mitigation measures and integrated air pollution and climate change mitigation
- develop recommendations to enhance integration of air pollution and climate change mitigation and to increase implementation of key mitigation measures.
