Session Description

This session will explore how high-quality buildings data can accelerate the flow of green finance into sustainable, low-carbon construction. Bringing together perspectives from the finance sector, architects, engineers, and technology innovators, it will highlight how data and data-driven tools can bridge sectoral gaps through evidence-based indicators. The discussion aligns with points iv and vi of the COP Presidential Agenda.

The hybrid session will feature insights from:

World Bank – addressing data challenges in delivering green finance, with remarks from
Jayashree Srinivasan, Regulatory Specialist, The World Bank.

GlobalABC – demonstrating how digital building passports can help close critical data gaps, with insights from
York Ostermeyer, Co-lead of the GlobalABC Data Hub and Chairman of the Board at CUES Analytics.

Environas – explaining the need to expand from a building-only lens to district-scale and micro-climate perspectives, with input from
Dr. Nihal Al Sabbagh, Founder & Design Director, Environas.

Kompas VC – showcasing how digital tools can catalyze transformation of the built environment, featuring
Victoria Burrows, Strategic Partnerships & Insights, Kompas VC.

American Institute of Architects (AIA) – illustrating how architects are integrating data into design workflows to deliver green, bankable buildings, with remarks from
Evelyn Lee, FAIA, 2025 President, AIA
