Description

WorldGBC calls on the building and construction sector to recognise how offsetting residual emissions is critical to achieving sector decarbonisation goals.

‘Advancing Net Zero Whole Life Carbon: Offsetting Residual Emissions from the Building and Construction Sector’ outlines our recommendations for when, how, and why offsetting may be used to advance net zero carbon emissions in the built environment. Emission reduction efforts should be prioritised at all opportunities. However, in the immediate term, offsets are a necessary part of the transition towards total decarbonisation, or zero carbon, for the building and construction sector.

In this session, we will review important concepts

– life cycle assessment (LCA)

– cradle to grave – cradle to cradle (C2C)

– net zero concept.

In addition, presenting of the road map framework and action plan to solve global climate change using zero energy concepts.

The objective of this session is to present the concept of linkage between green buildings and green technology with climate change. Furthermore, solving climate change using the net zero initiative. Also, the link between climate change problems and the 17 sustainable development goals
