Now in its 19th year, the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) is one of the longest-running and most impactful clean energy meetings in Asia and the Pacific. The event is attended by more than 2,000 people every year.

It is a unique platform for clean energy practitioners to share their knowledge and experience, as well as expand their networks. This regional event targets individuals at public and private sector entities, academic and research institutions, financial institutions, philanthropic organizations, non-governmental organizations and other practitioners working on the energy transition and climate action.

ACEF 2024 will be guided by the theme: “Accelerating the Clean Energy Transition and Ensuring Energy Security and Affordability – Time for Urgent Action Now.”

Ultimately, ACEF 2024 aspires to have the following impacts in the region:

• Improve governance approaches, regulations and policies, and energy planning methodologies among ADB developing member countries by addressing the barriers to clean energy development. The aim is to create enabling conditions for increased private and public sector investment in clean and efficient energy technologies and systems.
• Increase the financing and development of innovative and inclusive clean energy solutions and business models that mitigate emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and deliver energy security while enabling more inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development and climate adaptation.
• Increase private sector participation and leadership in the delivery of clean energy innovation, through the development and incubation of new businesses; transfer of business practices and technology; and a significant uptake in clean energy financing and investment.
