Building on the success of Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW) 2024 and 2025 and the legacy of COP29, Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW) 2026 will take place from 7–11 September 2026 under the umbrella of the UNFCCC Regional Climate Week in Baku. As a premier platform for climate dialogue, partnerships and implementation, BCAW 2026 will bring together policymakers, business leaders, investors, researchers, academia, civil society, youth, cities, indigenous and local communities, and international organizations to accelerate climate action and support the implementation of the Paris Agreement and national climate commitments.
With an international perspective and strong regional relevance, BCAW 2026 will convene a diverse and inclusive community from Azerbaijan, the wider region and across the globe. Participants will include government representatives, industry leaders, green technology innovators, financial institutions, climate scientists, academic institutions, private sector organizations, NGOs, community groups, youth organizations, urban planners, architects, infrastructure experts, and representatives from the arts, culture and sports sectors. Together, they will exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, mobilize investment and advance innovative solutions for climate-resilient, low-carbon development.
Supporting the objectives of the UNFCCC Regional Climate Week, BCAW 2026 will provide a collaborative platform for dialogue between governments and non-Party stakeholders while showcasing practical solutions, innovative technologies and sustainable finance mechanisms that accelerate mitigation, adaptation and resilience. The programme will promote regional and international cooperation, facilitate new partnerships and investments, strengthen engagement of youth, women, academia, civil society and local communities, advance green skills and climate education, and champion circular economy and Zero Waste approaches as essential drivers of a just transition and sustainable development.
