Building Resilience Through Disaster Planning – Learn how to strengthen disaster preparedness

This training will introduce the critical role of the bureau or ministry responsible for the built environment in the disaster planning process and the potential roles and responsibilities to support effective pre-disaster resilience and post-disaster recovery. Specifically, this training discussed the various phases of a disaster, the role of the bureau or ministry responsible for managing disaster response within the community and the post-disaster roles and responsibilities typically assigned to bureau or ministry responsible for the built environment. This 90-minute course is recommended for officials and others engaged with the building environment interested in developing a disaster plan and understanding how to identify and request resources to be able to respond to the needs of their community and jump-start its recovery.
