Every year, Climate Week NYC brings together heads of state, global business leaders, philanthropic leaders, and civil society to accelerate climate action at scale. Climate Week NYC is organized by Climate Group, an international non profit that has driven climate action for over two decades by convening leaders across business and government. In coordination with the UN General Assembly, our event brings together the decision-makers and experts shaping capital, policy and markets across sectors and regions.
2025 marked our biggest year yet: More than 100,000 participants, 5,500 leaders from business and government and civil society on-site, and 1,000+ events tackling the toughest questions in energy, industry, finance, food, transport, and nature. Climate Week NYC was set up to connect the people and ideas shaping how we live, work and build a low-carbon economy and a more secure future.

Join the Sustainable Real Estate Forum on Wednesday 23 September at Schroders' NY Office for the second day of SREF x Climate Week NYC 2026, themed The Investable Transition. The programme features two panel discussions: Silent Capital, Loud Consequences examines why LPs, who provide 65–75% of global private real estate equity capital, remain the quietest voice in the room, and what changes as the industry shifts from reporting to deciding. Powering the Next Real Estate Cycle looks at where the real value sits in AI infrastructure, land, power connections, or operating platforms, against a projected 80-gigawatt gap between U.S. data-centre power demand and available capacity by 2030. Running 14:00–18:00 with networking breaks throughout, the event closes with drinks. Attendance is by invitation only, and a valid passport is required for entry.

Scaling Blended Cement for Competitive, Resilient and Low-Carbon Growth: At Climate Week NYC, we will launch Blend Better Cement, a global campaign to accelerate the deployment and use of blended cement as the fastest lever to decarbonise cement and concrete this decade. Backed by the UNEP-hosted Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC), Systemiq Ltd., Climate Group and the LC3 Project - Low Carbon Cement, the campaign will bring governments and industry together to advance the policy, regulatory and market conditions needed to scale this proven solution.

- 21 September, 09:00–11:30 ET: Buildings for People, Cities for Life: A New Agenda for Urban Resilience
Cities around the world are facing a reality that can no longer be addressed through separate policy agendas. Affordability, climate resilience, public health, and decarbonization of the built environment are deeply interconnected when speaking of housing and the built environment. Yet many institutions, investment frameworks, and regulatory systems still approach these in isolation. As the demographic density in urban areas globally continue to grow and climate change intensifies, it becomes imperative that the different aspects of climate resilience in housing and the built environment need to be addressed collectively.
Hosted by The Consulate General of Denmark in New York together with Ramboll, ROCKWOOL, and VELUX, this high-level opening summit of Denmark’s official engagements during Climate Week brings together leading voices from government, industry, international organizations, and civil society to explore how cities can rethink and bridge existing gaps between housing, climate adaptation, energy efficiency in the built environment, and public health.
Three different thematic sessions will take the audience through a big picture address of housing and climate policies, the opportunities and challenges of practical implementation of climate resilient initiatives in the built environment, as well as innovative design strategies for the benefit of buildings and for the health of the people in them. By exchanging perspectives and experiences as well as use cases with Danish solutions, the summit sets out to create a new paradigm for urban resilience. For the planet and for its people. For now and for generations.

The built environment faces two urgent and interconnected challenges that require deeper collaboration across the value chain: ensuring that carbon ambitions are translated effectively from design through to delivery, and strengthening the resilience of buildings and infrastructure in a changing climate. Join senior leaders convened by WBCSD and Arcadis to explore the latest insights from WBCSD's collaborative initiatives and discuss how stronger cross-value-chain engagement can help accelerate both decarbonization and adaptation.

A high-level workshop at Climate Week NYC to unlock building electrification and deliver coordinated implementation towards the COP31 target of 35% electricity share of final energy demand by 2035.
