The Montreal Protocol & its Kigali Amendment, are key to global efforts to avoid global warming, by directing and helping countries to phase-down the Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) – the commonly used high GWP substances in Air-Conditioning and refrigeration. There are legitimate financial and technological issues with industries in developing countries to adopt climate friendly cooling. India has its national Cooling Action Plan and other developing countries putting their efforts in this direction, require to explore multilateral funding opportunities. The session facilitates a panel discussion bringing together international experts from Government, Funding Agencies and think tanks to identify the gaps and exchange experiences apropos to global influencing Center.
