Description:
This event aims to shed light on the decarbonisation and climate adaptation of the building sector as key components of a climate policy able also to deliver future-proof living spaces, and to announce the organization of the first Buildings and Climate Global Forum and disclose its goals.
This event will present the opportunity to develop the narrative that governments and the building industry (all categories of stakeholders) need to explicit their strategy and implement action plan (on operational and construction emissions, including energy efficiency sufficiency and decarbonisation of energy sources and materials measures) to have impact by 2030 (examples in Europe, India, Indonesia, China), and to align the sector to the Paris agreement goals. Outcomes of the Global Forum would be a declaration specifying engagement of government and associated engagement of the building industry.
Speakers:
Speakers include high-level experts from the EU, China, India and Indonesia, as well as the private sector.
