Session Description

The Buildings Breakthrough calls for the achievement of near-zero emission and resilient buildings (NZERBs) as the new normal by 2030. Getting there requires that both institutions and personnel across the value chain have the tools and skills to effectively implement policies aligned with the NZERB goals. This session will examine the resources and skills required and how efforts under Priority Action 5 of the Buildings Breakthrough on Capacity Building and initiatives targeting actors across the buildings’ value chain are delivering solutions. We’ll also examine current gaps and how the buildings industry can meet the needs of governments and practitioners in achieving NZERBs.
