It’s becoming more apparent around the world that increasing adoption of sustainable district cooling is key for our collective roadmaps to help achieve net zero emissions goals in alignment with the Paris Accords.
This presentation, delivered by a highly experienced and knowledgeable leader in district cooling, will address the enormous benefits to multiple stakeholders, in public and private sectors, brought by its widescale adoption.
There will be a high-level introduction to district cooling and what sets it apart as being different to traditional cooling methods, followed by analysis of the well-documented benefits, such as near 100% reliability, operational and cost efficiencies, reduced capital costs and, most importantly, large scale prevention of carbon emissions through energy efficiency.
As the planet becomes ever hotter, the demand for cooling is on the increase, which is one of the many reasons urban developers are opting to include district cooling as a key part of the infrastructure in new, smart cities. This session will consider what more can be done to increase awareness and adoption of sustainable cooling, to the benefit of the global community.
Case studies will be examined, too, featuring the world-famous Downtown Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island networks, which have proved to be instrumental in the sustainable development of one of the world’s most dynamic and exciting countries.
