Description
The session will explore key findings from a recent report on energy efficiency in the GCC built environment, developed by KAPSARC and in collaboration with a consortium of thirteenth international organizations. The session aims to bridge the gap towards a more efficient and sustainable built environment, aligning with the GlobalABC mission and vision of creating a zero-emission, efficient, resilient building and construction sector. By analyzing current practices, identifying barriers, and highlighting successful initiatives, the session will provide practical recommendations for decarbonizing the building sector. Furthermore, it will foster dialogue among regional experts and support the nascent working group in enhancing knowledge sharing, strengthening regional collaboration, and informing the policymaking process to accelerate the transition toward a net-zero built environment in the GCC.
