The GlobalABC Annual Assembly 2026 will bring together the Alliance’s global community to celebrate ten years of collective action, partnerships and impact in advancing the decarbonization and resilience of the buildings and construction sector. Over the past decade, GlobalABC has grown into a global platform of more than 400 members including 71 countries, bringing together governments, industry, finance, academia and civil society around a shared vision for zero-emission, resilient and sustainable buildings and construction. This growing and diverse community has played a critical role in elevating buildings and construction within the global climate agenda and transforming collaboration into tangible action across the sector.
The Assembly will recognize the leadership, expertise and contributions of the GlobalABC community that have helped shape the Alliance over the past decade. Building on the momentum generated through recent global gatherings, including the Sustainable Buildings and Construction Summit 2026 in Lausanne, which convened more than 400 participants from developed and emerging economies to strengthen collaboration and turn climate commitments into action, the Assembly will also support the continued evolution of the Alliance’s governance framework, including the integration of Buildings Breakthrough priorities within GlobalABC’s governance and structures to streamline coordination and implementation across the sector.
The Assembly will provide an opportunity to reflect on progress achieved through GlobalABC’s flagship initiatives, collaborative platforms and political processes, including the Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction (Buildings-GSR), the Climate Action Roadmaps for Buildings and Construction, and the Intergovernmental Council for Buildings and Climate (ICBC). Marking a transition from framework-setting to delivery, the Assembly will help shape the next phase of GlobalABC’s work by reinforcing collective efforts toward implementation at scale and tangible sectoral impact toward 2030 and beyond.
Please note that this event is only for GlobalABC Members.
GlobalABC members will receive invitations directly. If you are a member and have not received your invitation, please reach out to the Secretariat at [email protected].
