The 2022 Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction (2022 Buildings-GSR) provides a global snapshot on progress of the buildings and construction sector and reviews the status of policies, finance, technologies, and solutions in the sector during the past year. The 2022 edition includes the analysis of the disruptions and challenges facing the buildings sector in 2022, a further development of the Global Building Carbon Tracker, updates on building codes and building decarbonisation in Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the status of investment in building energy efficiency, as well as a regional focus (Africa) and a topical focus (building materials).
On 18 January 2023, 8:00-8:45 AM CET, the GlobalABC Secretariat and some of the main authors of the 2022 Buildings-GSR will present online the key findings from the report, including an overview, the topical focus (materials), the Global Buildings Tracker and the regional focus (Africa). The session is organized by RICS in partnership with UNEP/GlobalABC, in the framework of the World Built Environment Forum (WBEF) Week 2023. It will be livestreamed.
