[Webinar] Driving Policy Action for Climate Resilient Housing: How Do We Achieve Lasting Impact by 2030?
webinar

The webinar, titled "Driving Policy Action for Climate Resilient Housing: How Do We Achieve Lasting Impact by 2030?" will take place on 6 October 2022, 8:00-9:00 AM Mountain Time (16:00-17:00 CEST).

Event Overview

On the sidelines of UNGA and Climate Week NYC, the Race to Resilience released a goal for a major breakthrough in the housing sector: that by 2030, 1 billion people have better design, construction and access to finance to live in decent, safe, affordable and climate resilient homes. To reach this goal, policy makers and program implementers will require coordinated and innovative approaches to disaster-resilient housing.

Build Change and the Climate Resilient Housing Initiative are pleased to organize a discussion which brings together leaders in the climate and housing sectors to reflect on what is needed to achieve sustainable impact in the next decade. This conversation, which will focus on driving demand for resilient housing through policy and program approaches, will showcase the important global and local initiatives already underway, and reflect on what is needed by decision-makers to deliver on housing that supports communities to thrive in housing that can withstand climate impacts.
