MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES

Brick by Brick Construction Company Ltd is a design and build social enterprise established in 2011, dedicated to eco-friendly construction practices. As a national leader in sustainable construction services, it has successfully delivered over 470 projects nationwide, primarily utilizing Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block (ISSB) technology. Its expertise lies in designing and constructing educational, community, healthcare, and residential buildings, as well as Water and Sanitation Facilities, we also do Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works.

Operating under the triple bottom line of profit, planet, and people, it adheres to a for-profit model while prioritizing environmental sustainability. Its use of ISSB technology leverages locally available materials, ensuring both eco-friendliness and community engagement. Furthermore, its commitment to youth empowerment is evident as we employ and skill local young people from underserved communities, providing them with on-the-job training as masons for our construction projects. 

ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS

Over the years, Brick by Brick Construction has successfully completed more than 470 projects using ISSBs technology, exemplifying our commitment to sustainable practices. Some notable examples include its work with Brick by Brick Uganda, where it renovated and constructed nine schools in Rakai and Kyotera Districts, Design and Build of David Tyler Nursery and Primary School orphanage in Luwero District stands as a testament to our dedication to sustainable building designs. Construction of foundations and slabs for 8 buildings in refugee settlements; Imvepi, Rhino, and Omugo, using stone masonry as part of the program entitled Reducing poverty by promoting professional training for adolescents from refugee and the host community in West Nile. Its initiatives extend to health infrastructure, as seen in the design and construction of 5 standalone accommodation facilities at Ntandi Health Center III in Bundibugyo District, and the Design and Construction of Ourganda Community Facility near the DRC-Uganda border in Bundibugyo District emphasizes our commitment to climate-conscious construction practices throughout diverse community-oriented projects.
