Stumbel Bloc, designed and developed in Southern Africa is the world’s first environmentally friendly, thermally efficient, low-cost brick.
Since inception, Stumbel Bloc has grown across the region, with its unique brick design employed by house builders, local municipalities and national governments.
Demand for raw building materials like bricks and their associated carbon footprint pose a continuous challenge for companies and governments as a result of increased regulatory pressures and financial risks linked to CO2 emissions.
Stumbel Bloc is a disruptive, green alternative to the way we manufacture, deliver and install concrete bricks. Our solution has the capacity to be scaled across residential, commercial and industrial end users worldwide.
ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS
The goal behind Stumble Bloc is to contribute to a more sustainable brick production method that also reduces the amount of CO2 emissions in brick production and consequently in house building.
We have recently begun working with a Swiss Climate Organisation to conduct an environmental audit - MRV of our carbon emissions from our brick production.
