GlobalABC participated in the Materials Talk Live - Aligning Buildings to 1.5 C session, organized by LafargeHolcim as part of the Climate Week NYC. Martina Otto, GlobalABC/United Nations Environment Programme, Nirmal Kishnani, National University of Singapore (NUS), and Karen Scrivener, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) discussed the role materials play in decarbonizing the sector, what alternative options to today's most used buildings materials exist, what policy measures must be taken, and what tools are available. GlobalABC also spoke about our Regional Roadmaps and the way materials are featured there to go net zero. The recording is available here.
