The GlobalABC Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction (BuildingsGSR) is a flagship publication of the UNEP-hosted Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) and is a reference document for tracking progress with respect to climate mitigation in the Buildings and Construction sector on a global level. The Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE) and UCL with support of several other institutions has led and coordinated the development of the 2020 and 2021 editions of the BuildingsGSR enhancing the methodology and developing the Buildings Climate Tracker and a solid database.

Each year, the BuildingsGSR has a dedicated topical and regional focus. For the 2022 BuildingsGSR, the topical focus will be on building materials and embodied carbon; the region focus will be on Sustainable Buildings and Construction in Africa.
