Upcoming Webinar: Buildings in the NDCs – A Practical Guide for 2025 Revisions

Buildings account for over one-third of global energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, making them a key focus for climate action. Yet, the potential of the buildings sector remains underutilised in many Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). As countries prepare their 2025 NDC updates, integrating ambitious and actionable targets for buildings is critical to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.

To support this effort, the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) and the Partnership for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB), in partnership with the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), are organising a webinar on Tuesday, 11 February, and Thursday, 13 February 2025, with two sessions to facilitate participation from different regions and time zones.

With insights from policymakers across different countries, including Kenya, Nigeria and the UAE, this webinar will equip policymakers and practitioners with practical tools to incorporate robust building-related measures into their NDCs, based on the new guide, NDCs for Buildings: Ambitious, Investable, Actionable, and Inclusive.

Who Should Attend?

Policymakers, climate negotiators, urban planners, architects, engineers, developers, and private sector stakeholders looking to align the buildings sector with national climate goals will benefit from these sessions.
By attending, participants will gain tools and strategies to make NDCs for buildings more ambitious, actionable, and inclusive—helping to drive policy action, investments, and resilience in the built environment.
