Address: Rue des Deux Eglises 14-16, B-1000 Brussels
Region of Activities: Belgium

MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES

The EEB is the largest network of environmental citizens’ organisations in Europe. It currently consists of over 170 member organisations in more than 35 countries (all EU Member States plus some accession and neighbouring countries), including a growing number of European networks, and representing some 30 million individual members and supporters.
The EEB tackles Europe’s most pressing environmental problems by agenda-setting, monitoring, advising on and influencing the way the EU deals with these issues.
These include issues such as climate change, biodiversity, circular economy, air, water, soil, chemical pollution, as well as policies on industry, energy, agriculture, product design and waste prevention among others. We are also active on overarching issues as sustainable development, good governance, participatory democracy and the rule of law in Europe and beyond.

ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS

EEB has been working for years in the field of decarbonisation of industrial sectors related to the Building sectors and follows closely all decarbonisation-related pieces of legislation at European level. Members are also active at the national level on these topics in many member states. Adding to that EEB has been leading with ECOS www.coolproducts.eu , a long-standing campaign on the decarbonisation of heating and cooling technologies, which produces reports, studies and position papers.
