The county government of Kisumu is committed to attaining the Net zero and currently has a 100% Renewable Energy Roadmap by 2050. It has a climate change action plan and has started training and sensitising our architects on standards. It is committed to achieving the national NDC as a county and is progressively exploring like-minded avenues.
ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS
Training our county architect on 100% Renewable Energy Roadmap development and actions, energy efficiency and decarbonization in the building envelope. Working with GIZ in the development of a green building policy, being part of the cooling workplace with mission efficiency, designing the first full green building in the county due to be registered.
