MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES

Vietnam Institute for Building Science and Technology (IBST) plays a pivotal role in advancing research, development, and innovation in the construction and building sector within Vietnam. IBST focuses on enhancing building technologies, sustainable construction practices, energy efficiency, and environmental impact reduction within the built environment.  

Regarding decarbonizing research, IBST might explore methodologies to reduce carbon emissions within the construction industry. This could involve developing and promoting energy-efficient building materials, sustainable construction techniques, and renewable energy integration into buildings. Additionally, they might investigate strategies to minimize the carbon footprint of buildings throughout their lifecycle, from design and construction to operation and eventual decommissioning.  

By leveraging research and technological advancements, IBST could significantly contribute to Vietnam's efforts to mitigate climate change by fostering sustainable building practices that minimize carbon emissions and promote environmental conservation.
