Environas is a design consultancy that provides multiple environmental services and green building certifications. It was founded by in 2021 by Dr. Nihal Al Sabbagh with an aim to integrate the theoretical knowledge and expertise into practice through research-based design approaches that are tailored for each project. The company is comprised of a team of architects and engineers with a robust background in both practice and research, reflecting its vision and commitment to growth. This scientific expertise positions the company as a leader in the field of environmental design solutions and interdisciplinary scientific research.

Environas has created a tool that can help city planners in designing cooler, more comfortable streets in the context of hot cities. The digital tool simulates various aspects that shapes pedestrians comfort while walking through various urban areas through personalized templates. It integrates on ground environmental data such as temperature, wind, and radiation collected in Dubai, along other social factors that influence comfort. It leverages the machine learning models of the virtual pedestrians moving within the urban area to identify the comfort levels at various locations with up to 79% accuracy. Learn more here.
