The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is advancing housing services and urban planning to new stages of placemaking through community partnerships locally and internationally. The Ministry is responsible for regulating the housing and urban planning sector and promoting  the real estate development in the Sultanate of Oman to create a sustainable, integrated living environment. The Ministry aims to balance urban growth with sustainable development,preserving the national identity and cultural heritage. It also seeks to foster  partnerships with the private sector towards urban expansion and development of cities and villages.
