MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES
In line with the internationalization of our CUBE project and the IFPEB’s general role as leader in the non-residential building field, we hope to become GABC members to share feedback and experiences, collaborate with future counterparts on diverse projects and contribute to the cross-fertilization of ideas. We look forward to sharing our findings, operations, results in order to collaborate and inspire (and be inspired) with other GABC members. Contributing to task-forces as well as sharing feedback and experiences in general from our own projects is also of great interest. |
ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS
The IFPEB is an organization working to reduce the public and private building sector’s energy footprint in order to eventually arrive at energy sufficiency and carbon neutrality in buildings. The institute develops advanced studies for market transformation on various building-related topics, including energy flexibility in buildings, to exploring the potential circularity of building materials and furnishings. Alongside work-study groups, hubs, and concrete research projects, the IFPEB also conceptualized and manages a European-wide competition on energy efficiency in non-residential buildings, CUBE 2020. With increasing international participation, the IFPEB is seeking to transpose the CUBE 2020 model abroad in order to create the savings’ results and momentum necessary to inspire a similar policy-development path in neighboring and highly-emitting markets.
