MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES

The Partnership for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB) works to transform the global buildings sector by promoting sustainable building design, construction, and operation. Through innovative financing and policy support, PEEB helps lower energy demand, reduce emissions, and unlock economic and environmental benefits for a climate-resilient future. PEEB’s approach combines project finance from the investment facility (implemented by Agence Francaise de Developpement – AFD) and policy and capacity development from the enabling facility (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ), as well as expertise from Agence de la Transition Energétique (ADEME), to bring a transformation of the built environment to scale.

The Partnership for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB) is currently funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN), the French Ministry of Ecological Transition (MTE), the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the European Union (EU), the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the International Climate Initiative (IKI), and the Fonds Français pour l’Environnement Mondial (FFEM).  The Partnership is part of the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC).
